a two-day festival to celebrate spring in the city.

Eindhoveniers is celebrating spring and is hosting a two-day festival of workshops and walks through the city centre of Eindhoven. During these workshops we explore different perspectives and relationships between the inhabitants of Eindhoven and wild urban spaces. The workshops are hosted by makers, thinkers and do-ers from Eindhoven who share a part of their practice.

Urban forest walk by Axel Coumans
The trees in the city Eindhoven inhabit the city of the future. How would the city look like when these are designed for and by these woody and rooted companions? During our walk we explore the city from the perspective of urban trees. The Planetrees will guide us through the city center. After our walk we transform our experience to action by planting a small urban forest.

Tiny Nest Building by Pollyanna Moss
Small bird nests are marvels of construction. These delicate structures can tell stories of how these tiny birds access and make use of a city. Using local wool from dutch sheep and city foraged plants dyes Pollyanna Moss will demonstrate making a felted nest. 
Learn about birds through handcraft and the various steps of preparing material to the shape and size of the final piece. Pollyanna is an artist and designer working with dutch sheep and shepherds. She is also a bird-watcher and thinks birds are brilliant designers and neighbours.

Explore the magical landscape between sleeping and waking in which body and spirit can rest deeply in EcoNidra Yoga. Choose a relaxed position and let my voice guide you into a deep meditation. We will make a journey through our senses, body and nature.

Monotype printing is an instant printing technique that allows us to experiment. We will use natural materials from our environment to capture the passing of time, seasons and materials. 

Urban Jungle by Elena Lovich
Elena Lovich guides us through a wild city. By foraging and eating wild plants we become part of urban nature. We learn about edible plants that we can find in our immediate environment and how we can prepare this food.
